How to Use Student’s Credit Cards

In the contemporary world almost everybody has several credit cards, as it is very convenient and flexible tool of the finance management. Usually people receive their first credit card during the first year in the college or university. Students receive many offers from the providers of the credit cards and it is quite hard to determinate with the most appropriate offer. The students must be very careful during the choosing process, as the conditions and terms of the offers are very different.

The credit cards for students have several peculiarities, as they are provided for those people, who do not have experience with the credit card use. But the students often have unserious attitude to the credit cards and money spending. As a result, they have problems with the debts after graduation and collide with the huge financial pressure. To avoid receiving of the huge bills in the end of the months the students have to keep the rules, which are presented below.

First of all, the students have to compare their incomes and expenses and to create the scheme of money spending and saving. The main rules are:

  1. Pay the bills in time. Usually the students receive their debts as a result of the late fees. If you will control your expenses and pay all the bills in time, you will be self – confident and will avoid huge debts after graduation.
  2. Use the rule, which is called 20/10 rule. Do not use more than 20 % of yearly net profits and more than 10 % of monthly profits on monthly expenses. It will help you to avoid mistakes in the payments and budget.
  3. Pay attention on credit operating costs. Plan your budget beforehand and compare all your expenses with the plan. Try to use the credit card only for big and essential purchases. To make everyday purchases, use the cash.
